Flames top Sharks in Kiprusoff's return

CALGARY - Not long after the lockout was resolved, acrobatic netminder Miikka Kiprusoff was informed he needed just a hat-trick of victories to reach 300 in a Calgary Flames uniform.

His response?

“It will be a tough year if I'm not going to get that,” Kiprusoff said with a grin.

The wait is finally over.

After missing four weeks — and 13 straight games — due to a strained knee ligament, Kiprusoff was back between the pipes for Wednesday's date with the San Jose Sharks and kicked aside 32 shots in a 4-1 win at the Saddledome.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
