Rumours have Flames feeling heat
By RANDY SPORTAK, QMI Agency

Trade rumours about the Calgary Flames have been coming fast and furious recently.

Every day the Flames remain outside the playoff picture between now and the April 3 NHL trade deadline, those rumours -- some making sense and some outright fantasy -- will become louder.

After all, with an aging team that includes a pending unrestricted free-agent in star captain Jarome Iginla and a goalie in Miikka Kiprusoff with one more year on his contract, the obvious play for the Flames is to sell like a stock broker watching the market crash.

"They've been talking about it for three years," forward Alex Tanguay said of the rumour-mongers across the hockey world insisting it's time to gut the Flames. "Yeah, it's on the back of your mind, but I want to make the playoffs here. I haven't made the playoffs for three years."

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
