Greasy rebound for Flames' Iginla
By WES GILBERTSON, QMI Agency
Of all the sports clichés, it could be the most over-used. And that's saying something.
It's not how. It's how many.
There's more than a shred of truth to it, though.
Credit Jarome Iginla for stickhandling around the old saying, but those words certainly rang true for the Calgary Flames captain after he snapped a nine-game goal drought with a couple of key tallies in Sunday's 5-4 triumph over the Phoenix Coyotes at the Saddledome.
"It feels good to get those breaks," Iginla said. "It feels good to get back-to-back wins and also to see the puck go in. Kind of, some might say, mouldy goals, but it feels good. I'm thinking that's the turn of some things."
"Great goals," if you want to use the words Flames head coach Bob Hartley picked after Monday's optional practice.
Call them whatever you want, the Flames' all-time leading scorer will take 'em.
