ST. PAUL, MINN. - Alex Tanguay got the ball rolling with an RBI single in the early innings.
Joey MacDonald needed to pitch a shutout to ensure it was enough.
MacDonald made 28 stops in regulation but was beaten with 4:19 remaining in the third period by Jason Zucker's re-direction, and Zach Parise scored the winner 27 seconds into overtime as the Minnesota Wild eked out a 2-1 extra-time victory over the Calgary Flames at Xcel Energy Center.
With the overtime loss, the Flames (7-7-4) can say goodbye to their two-game winning streak.
