Flames coach says no defending defensive play
By WES GILBERTSON, QMI Agency
Saturday’s brunch menu at the Saddledome featured a buffet of blunt assessment, without even a hint of sugary coating. Even with a night to digest a 5-2 home-ice loss to the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames head coach Bob Hartley arrived at the rink with a sour taste in his mouth. “We’re not Amnesty International,” Hartley deadpanned after a morning practice. “We’re way too generous.” Hartley has tried to put a positive spin on most of his dozen games behind the bench for the Flames (4-5-3), but he didn’t have a lot of good things to say about the early moments of Friday’s battle with the visiting Blues. |
