CALGARY - It’s not just another game for Jiri Hudler.

He’s willing to admit it.

Some players will say a return to their former city to face a former team is no big deal.

The Calgary Flames left winger, who will be facing the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday night (5:30 p.m., Sportsnet West) admits this will be a special night at the Joe Louis Arena.

“I want to win so bad,” Hudler said after Monday’s practice at the Corral before the team departed. “We need the points and it’s my first time going back.

“I’ve got a lot of good friends there and it’s going to be a lot of fun. At the same time, we need the two points.”

The Flames (1-3-2) need the win in a big way, since they sit last in the Western Conference.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.
  Brent Sutter.
  Don Hay.
  Other.
