CALGARY - Prior to the last game, there was speculation Calgary Flames rookie Sven Baertschi could be a healthy scratch.

Prior to the next game, the question could be whether the 20-year-old left-winger is healthy, period.

Baertschi made an early exit from Tuesday's practice at the Saddledome, struggling to put any weight on his right leg as he retreated to the dressing room. He did not return and his status for Thursday's home date with the Colorado Avalanche (7p.m., SNWest) is uncertain.

“A little injury. I'm just assuming that it's nothing bad, but he couldn't keep going,” Flames head coach Bob Hartley told reporters after practice. “The medical staff are working on him right now. We should know more, probably, (Wednesday).

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
