CALGARY - Remember Michael Cammalleri’s scoring spree for the Montreal Canadiens in the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs?

Bob Hartley does. He watched very closely while providing analysis for French television station RDS.

The memories of Cammalleri’s performance — 13 goals and 19 points in 19 games for a Canadiens team which reached the conference finals — are a big reason the Calgary Flames head coach isn’t worried about his player’s early-season struggles.

“He is one of those guys that you want the puck on his stick, because he can make the difference. He’s a great shooter,” Hartley said after Monday’s practice at the Saddledome. “His game and the entire team’s game is progressing. I’m not worried one bit. I’m expecting big things out of Cammy.”

The Flames need those big things to start happening soon.

As they gear up for Thursday’s clash with the Colorado Avalanche, Cammalleri is struggling to find his form.
