Flames Morrison out up to three weeks
By Sports Network

The Calgary Flames updated the status of forward Brendan Morrison's knee injury on Monday.

"Brendan has been re-evaluated by Flames head team physician Dr. Kelly Brett and there is still swelling in the knee. It will require 2-3 weeks for the swelling to resolve at which time he will be evaluated again," acting general manager Jay Feaster said in a press release. "We will provide another update on Brendan's playing status at that time."

The 35-year-old Morrison suffered the unknown setback to what is believed to be his left knee during Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Blackhawks in Chicago.

A former Hobey Baker Award winner at Michigan, Morrison has tallied nine goals and 43 points in 66 games during his first season with the Flames.
