CALGARY - The Saddledome has a new name.

The home of the Calgary Flames is now known as the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Terms of the naming deal were not released but Flames president Ken King said it was for longer than 10 years.

"Being a player here, a member of the community and a fan, it's a big deal," Flames captain Jarome Iginla said.

"The Saddledome is a big part of the city and the history.

"The Scotiabank Saddledome is something we're going to say a lot, and hopefully we'll have a lot of success and good memories here. I think it's a great fit. Scotiabank is a big supporter of the NHL and this community."

The 10-year deal signed with Pengrowth expired recently.
