The Calgary Flames continue to add depth players to battle for spots on the NHL roster and lead the way with the AHL Abbotsford Heat.
Stefan Meyer, a second-round draft choice of the Florida Panthers in 2003, was signed by Calgary Tuesday to a two-year contract.
Meyer, from Fox Valley, Sask., has played 333 AHL games with Rochester and San Antonio, in which heís collected 74 goals and 74 assists along with 449 penalty minutes.
Meyer played four NHL games with Florida in 2007-08.
The Flames earlier Tuesday announced Brett Sutter had inked a one-year contract.
