Born-and-bred Calgarian Ryan Stone has signed a two-way contract with his hometown team.

Although the Flames have yet to announce the signing, Sun sources confirm the rugged forward will earn US$500,000 if he cracks Calgary's lineup and $105,000 if he is demoted to AHL Abbotsford.

Stone, 25, suited up the Edmonton Oilers last season, counting six assists and 48 penalty minutes in 27 games.

In 35 career NHL outings, he has zero goals, seven assists and 55 penalty minutes.
