The Flames ended a two-game losing streak with a 3-2 shootout win over the Canucks Saturday night in Vancouver in one of the most entertaining and intense games of the season. This is the final game in a stretch of five games in seven nights and 10 in 16. They're 6-3 so far.
The Avalanche stopped a two-game skid with a 4-3 win in Buffalo Saturday after gassing a 3-1 third-period lead.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Avs have won all three meetings so far this season, including the first two held in Calgary. All three games have been by a 3-2 score in regulation. Colorado has won the last five meetings going back to last season, which comes on the heels of a four-game Flames winning streak in the divisional series.
