Flames Game Day
By RANDY SPORTAK, SUN MEDIA

PHOENIX COYOTES (15-11-1)

AT

CALGARY FLAMES (17-6-3)

7:30 P.M., PPV/FAN 960

COMING IN

The Flames arrived in Arizona on the heels of a 5-0 beatdown of the Nashville Predators Monday, which ran their winning-streak to four games. Calgary has collected at least one point in each of the last 10 road clashes.

The Coyotes finished November with wins at home against Dallas and in OT at Anaheim. Phoenix has a 8-5-0 home record.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Calgary won the first of this year's four meetings with a 2-1 victory last week at home. Calgary has won 11 of the last 15 meetings (11-3-1), including both clashes on the road last season.

SPECIAL TEAMS

POWERPLAY -- Calgary 21.6% (19-88, T-9th); Phoenix 20% (20-100, T-16th).

PENALTY KILLING -- Calgary 79.4% (18th); Phoenix 81.9% (T10th).

QUOTE TO NOTE

"The San Jose game will come when it comes. There's a bigger game we have first. We pushed ourselves to get in a spot where we wanted to be, first in our division. Now we have top push our game to move up."

-- Flames coach Brent Sutter, whose team will face the Western Conference leading San Jose Sharks Saturday.

INJURIES

FLAMES -- D Cory Sarich (undisclosed) is out. LW Rene Bourque (undisclosed) is pegged to return.

COYOTES -- D Kurt Sauer (head) is out. C Martin Hanzal (lower body) and D Ed Jovanovski (lower body) missed last game but should be good to go.

WHO TO WATCH

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THESE TWO PLAYERS IN TONIGHT'S GAME

JAROME IGINLA, RW

The NHL's first star for the month of November after a 20-point run, he's made a career against the Coyotes, too. In 48 career games against the Coyotes, the Flames captain has collected 30 goals and 48 points with seven game winners.

MATTHEW LOMBARDI, CENTRE

The former Flame hardly had a game to remember when the Coyotes were in Calgary last week. Lombardi was a minus-2 with two shots on goal. He's collected four points in the last two games, and it's a good bet he'll come up with a better performance tonight.
