Flames ink prospects
By RANDY SPORTAK, SUN MEDIA

The Calgary Flames added experience and grit to their minor league affiliate yesterday by signing both Carsen Germyn and prospect Ryley Grantham.

Grantham, the club's sixth-round selection, 168th overall, in the 2008 draft, finished his junior career as a part of the WHL-champion Kelowna Rockets.

The 6-foot-4, 210-lb. left-winger from Hanna, Alta., collected 12 goals, 17 assists and 193 penalty minutes in the regular season, and followed that with four goals, one assist and 16 minutes in the sin bin in the playoffs.

Germyn, 27, has been part of the Flames organization for five seasons.

Last season, he collected 60 points for the Quad City Flames.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
