Stanley Cup final, Game 5

Calgary 3 Montreal 2

It didn't take long for the Calgary Flames to prove they were thrilled to be back home.

Joel Otto bulged the twine less than a minute after the opening faceoff and Joe Mullen and Al MacInnis also brought the Saddledome faithful to their feet in the first period as the Flames hung on for a 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

With the home-ice triumph, the Flames grabbed a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Stanley Cup final series and moved with one victory of claiming their first NHL title.

Forwards Bobby Smith and Mike Keane provided the Habs' offence.
