Chucko passes entry exam
By SUN MEDIA

Kris Chucko has his first NHL game under his belt.

And Flames head coach Mike Keenan said the club's first-round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft handled himself well.

"I'm sure he was nervous, it was his first NHL game, and that's part of the anxiety level you have to deal with in game one," Keenan said.

"He gave us some good minutes and he'll have to be prepared for the next game and the next opportunity. I think getting through the first game is a challenge in itself. He'll probably be more settled (tonight)."

Chucko played six minutes and 39 seconds, had a minor penalty and did see one powerplay shift.
