1. Hawks LW Andrew Ladd -- Former Hitmen star played with the most intensity and was the most dangerous. Rewarded with a goal and two assists.

2. Hawks D Matt Walker -- Booming point shot led to two goals and was steady in his own zone.

3. Hawks C David Bolland -- Scored less than a minute in to set the pace for the visitors.

UNSUNG HERO

Hawks C Colin Fraser doesn't score many goals, but his fourth of the season was all hard work by driving to the net and getting a bounce. Fraser also helped kill more than three minutes in penalties.

WHY FLAMES LOST

Terrible defensive zone coverage against one of the best passing teams around. The Hawks controlled the puck most of the night and could have run up the score if not for a couple of wayward shots.

SAVE OF THE GAME

Flames LW Michael Cammalleri was wide open for a shot with 10 minutes left, but Hawks G Nikolai Khabibulin flashed the glove to snag the top-corner blast.

SCRATCHES

Calgary -- C Wayne Primeau (foot), LW Brandon Prust (jaw), D Jim Vandermeer (ankle) and D Rhett Warrener (shoulder).

Chicago -- D Brent Sopel (undisclosed, injured reserve), D Aaron Johnson, RW Craig Adams.

UP NEXT
