UNSUNG HERO

Owen Nolan isn't putting up the points, but the veteran is making his presence felt by being a physical presence. Stepping up and fighting Zack Stortini was a needed play, too.

WHY THE FLAMES WON

Because they scored early, stayed calm when the lead disappeared in the first period and continued to control play until the finish.

SAVE OF THE GAME

With Calgary already in the lead, David Moss looked like he had a sure tally to double the lead in the middle of the first period when he had nearly the whole net for a rebound chance. However, Dwayne Roloson stuck out his right foot just in time to steal the goal.
