The Flames have twice lost in games when a victory would clinch a playoff spot, losing to both Colorado and San Jose this week.

The Oilers arrive on the heels of consecutive 3-0 losses in Minnesota, which push their losing skid to six games. Edmonton has slumped to a 1-17-1 mark since Feb. 23. Edmonton hasn't scored for a franchise record 172 minutes and 48 seconds.

Calgary has a four-game winning streak on the go against the Oilers and has taken five of seven meetings this season. The Flames have only one loss in the last 10 Battle of Alberta meetings at the 'Dome and that was in a shootout, going 6-0-1 post-lockout.
