STEVE MACFARLANE -- Sun Media

, Last Updated: 8:25 AM ET

SUN THREE STARS

1. Miikka Kiprusoff, Flames -- Without his clutch saves, the game would have ended in regulation.

2. Jarome Iginla, Flames -- Great start, great finish when the team needed him.

3. Jason Arnott, Predators -- Could have had a hat-trick if not for Kipper.

UNSUNG HERO

Brad Stuart logged big minutes and was noticeable in both ends of the ice.

WHY THE FLAMES WON

Despite falling behind early in the third, they stuck with it and pressed for the equalizer before time ran out.

BIG SAVE

With the game tied late in the second period and Jason Arnott looking for his second of the night, Miikka Kiprusoff stoned the big centre with a cross-crease kick.

HARD HIT

Robyn Regehr had a lot of speed as he pounded Peter Forsberg into the corner late in the second period. Forsberg dropped to the ice like a stone.

FIGHT CARD

None.

BURNING QUESTION

Has the Saddledome crowd been louder this season?

WHAT IT MEANS

Calgary's first points against Nashville since a 4-4 tie on March 13, 2004.

NOTABLES:

Jarome Iginla took over sole possession of sixth place on the Flames' all-time assists list.
