, Last Updated: 10:23 AM ET

LAST NIGHT IN NASHVILLE

NASHVILLE PREDATORS (45-18-6) 6

CALGARY FLAMES (36-22-9) 3

SUN THREE STARS

1. Jason Arnott, Preds -- Two goals and an assist to pace the Preds.

2. Shea Weber, Preds -- A pair of powerplay goals to put it out of reach.

3. Jarome Iginla, Flames -- Two great goals not enough to stage comeback.

UNSUNG HERO

Chris Mason made some big stops early in the game to keep the Predators in charge the whole way.

WHY FLAMES LOST

Too many mistakes and a total lack of discipline in the latter half of the game. A pair of 5-on-3 powerplay goals for the Preds put the contest out of reach.

HARD HIT

Paul Kariya got a taste of Dion Phaneuf's brand of pain in the second period when the sophomore ran him into the boards in the neutral zone.

BURNING QUESTION

Why haven't the Flames beat the Predators since the lockout?

WHAT IT MEANS

With both Minnesota and Vancouver winning, the Flames drop to eighth in the Western Conference standings.

NOTABLES

After riding the pine for the entire second period Tuesday, Matthew Lombardi was a healthy scratch for the first time this season.
