Calgary won the second installment of its three-game set with the Avs, 5-2 Saturday night at the Saddledome. The Flames won two of three in their homestand. They've lost five-straight on the road (0-2-3).
Colorado went on to Vancouver and lost 5-4, and now sits nine points back of a playoff spot.
Here comes the rubber match in the three-games-in-six days for the Flames and Avs. The Flames have taken six of the last seven games against Colorado. At Denver, the Flames won the only meeting so far this season, 7-3, with three more to come at the Pepsi Center counting tonight.

AVALANCHE -- Joe Sakic (5-10-15) and rookie Paul Stastny (5-5-10) have eight-game point streaks on the go.
FLAMES -- Marcus Nilson was a healthy scratch last game, having gone 34 games without a goal.
AVALANCHE -- Marek Svatos was returned to the lineup in Vancouver after missing three games as a healthy scratch and did nothing, having now scored only two goals in 26 games.

AVALANCHE -- D Jordan Leopold (wrist) and LW Wojtek Wolski (concussion) didn't play in Vancouver. C Pierre Turgeon (calf) is out indefinitely and D Patrice Brisebois (back) is out for the season.
