The razors, or in some cases shears, worked their way through the Calgary Flames dressing room.

The 2007 Mutton Chops competition came to an end yesterday. So, who won?

"I don't know if we're declaring a winner," said Robyn Regehr, who had the most eye-catching ones. "Everyone was just doing it because they thought it looks so good."

Jamie McLennan, the brains behind the hairy situation, said a winner wasn't declared because there was no opportunity to gather all the team together yesterday.

"We haven't talked about it," he said.

Regehr was happy to finally cut his off.

"I'm glad they're gone," he said. "I was talking to some parents and they said their kids were thoroughly scared when they came to the games."

NO MAS FOR MOSS:

For the second time in his brief rookie season, David Moss had a goal taken away from his total. The goal awarded to him -- originally credited to Dion Phaneuf -- in the 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday was changed back to Phaneuf.

"I didn't think it hit me, I think it hit their defenceman in front," Moss said. "It's one of those things where you don't want to take a goal when it's not yours. It was Dion's goal and it went to him deceivingly."

Still, the rookie right winger drafted in the seventh round in 2001 has five goals and four assists in 18 games. Coincidentally, Phaneuf has been the recipient both times Moss has had goals taken away. The other was Jan. 19 against Anaheim.

"If he gets his goal bonus, I think I might be hoping for something in the mail," Moss said. "I hope it keeps happening because that means goals are going in."

YOUNG YELLER ARRIVES:

Stephane Yelle became a father for the first time early on Tuesday. A few hours after he and wife Susan welcomed daughter Sienna he scored a goal in a 4-1 win over Los Angeles.

Does that mean a puck sits in a crib among the stuffed animals?

"Actually, I didn't keep the puck," he said. "But we know and that's all that matters."
