Jarome Iginla expects to be in action tomorrow.

The Calgary Flames captain, out since suffering a knee injury Jan. 4, believes he'll get the green light to suit up when the club faces the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Saddledome.

"I'm planning on it," he said after partaking in an optional practice yesterday at the Saddledome.

"I talked with the coaches last time and they said we'll get a couple more practices in. We had one (yesterday) and another (today). Every day it's been getting better and, if it keeps going like this, I'm excited to be back Friday."

It would mean the end of a four-week hiatus for Iginla, who was on pace for a career-best 111 points before the injury.

The Flames posted a 7-2-2 record without their leading scorer. Centre Daymond Langkow has pulled within one point of Iginla in the scoring race.

The team announced yesterday Langkow will be OK to play tomorrow after leaving early in the third period of Tuesday's 4-1 win after suffering an undisclosed injury.

He appeared to hurt his shoulder during a hard hit from Kings' defenceman Aaron Miller that sent him flying into the boards awkwardly.

Langkow and the team are tight-lipped as to the extent of the injury.

"I just got hit there and am a little bruised up," he said following treatment. "It's one of those things where you've got to give it a little bit of time.

"Hopefully, I'll be able to go Friday."
