- Mike Vernon, G First Tour: 1982-1994 Second tour: 2000-2002 Vernon, who will have his No. 30 retired by the Flames one week from tonight, backstopped Calgary to its lone Stanley Cup title in 1989. He joined the Detroit Red Wings, winning another Cup and the Conn Smythe trophy in 1997, San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers before resurfacing in Calgary for his final two seasons.

- Phil Housley, D First Tour: 1994-1996 Second tour: 1998-2001 Housley, who came to Calgary from St. Louis in exchange for Al MacInnis in 1994, produced nearly a point per game during his two seasons with the Flames. After stops in New Jersey and Washington, he was claimed off waivers by the Flames in 1998. He scored 1,232 points, 238 of which came while wearing the Flaming C.
