FLAMES 2 BLUE JACKETS 1

SUN THREE STARS

1. Chuck Kobasew, Flames -- Scored the game-winner twice if you believe the goal judge.

2. Pascal Leclaire, Blue Jackets -- A handful of incredible stops to keep the Flames at bay until the third.

3. Matthew Lombardi, Flames -- Along with Kobasew provided the most spark for the Flames offensively.

UNSUNG HERO

Miikka Kiprusoff wasn't busy but he was there when the team needed him most.

WHY THE FLAMES WON

A clutch save by Miikka Kiprusoff and a burst of energy from the Flames forwards in the third period.

BIG SAVES

Pascal Leclaire kept the game scoreless with a great butterfly stop on Chuck Kobasew's wraparound rebound in the first period. Although Miikka Kiprusoff's third-period breakaway stop was more critical.

FIGHT CARD

None.

WHAT IT MEANS

Seven straight wins at the Saddledome and a playoff spot for the night.

NOTABLES
