FLAMES 3 CANUCKS 2

SUN THREE STARS

1. Jarome Iginla, Flames -- Led by example on the ice with a great second half.

2. Markus Naslund, Canucks -- Failed to crack the scoresheet but had many opportunities.

3. Miikka Kiprusoff, Flames -- Another great game to keep it close.

UNSUNG HERO:

Rhett Warrener showed he's not all defence when he pinched low to collect his first goal to tie the game.

WHY THE FLAMES WON:

A great comeback led by their captain Jarome Iginla. The whole team deserves credit for following suit after Iginla broke the goose-egg.

BIG SAVE:

Miikka Kiprusoff's glove-first leap across the crease in the first period robbed Daniel Sedin of a sure goal.

FIGHT CARD:

None.

BURNING QUESTION:

Have the Flames truly found their niche again? It sure looks like it.

WHAT IT MEANS:

The Flames have a chance to get above .500 when the St. Louis Blues visit the 'Dome Tuesday night.

NOTABLES:

Canucks D Sami Salo had a great night in his return to the lineup after missing three games with a sore knee. He scored the first goal and levelled a couple of Flames forwards early ... Two female Flames fans were at the glass holding up a sign with a proposition for D Dion Phaneuf: 'Marry us Dion.' The other side showed their depth of knowledge about the blueliner whose hobby is woodcraft: 'Dion, you can work our wood.'
