Calgary Flames' star goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff didn't show up at the NHL awards banquet to pick up his hardware and a summer away from the game hasn't made him any more eager to enjoy his Jennings and Vezina trophies.
Or even track them down, for that matter.
"I have no idea. I haven't seen those," said Kiprusoff at the Saddledome yesterday upon returning from a private practice with goaltending coach David Marcoux.
The Finn was much more interested in his off-season passion. Fishing.
"It was a long summer," said Kiprusoff, acknowledging disappointment over a first-round exit from the NHL playoffs.
