The Calgary Flames are looking for team players to join their part-time roster as everything from cooks to ushers and security guards.
The 290 part-time positions up for grabs at today's annual job fair come with wages of up to $11 per hour, said Peter Hanlon, vice-president of communications.
He hopes the recent tight labour market doesn't affect the ability to score staff to work everything from concerts to sporting events during the hockey season.
"We'll find out," he said, adding the job comes with unique and enticing opportunities from exposure to concerts and hockey games to scholarship programs.
"There's a feeling of pride and accomplishment when 20,000 of your customers go home happy and entertained.
"We always have a very strong turnout."
Pre-season begins with a game Sept. 17 when the Flames take on the Florida Panthers at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
The job fair will be held today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dutton's Lounge in the 'Dome.
Be prepared for an on-the-spot interview.
About 15,000 season tickets have been sold for the upcoming campaign, but regular game tickets go on sale Sept. 1, Hanlon said.
