The Calgary Flames are expected to go after some scoring help this summer.

Yesterday, they locked up one of their own 20-goal men, signing pending restricted free agent Chuck Kobasew to a new contract expected to be worth more than $1 million per season.

Terms were not released by the club but the length of the deal is thought to be at least two years. Kobasew made a little more than $900,000 last season.

The 24-year-old winger scored a career high 20 goals and 31 points in 2005-06, and netted his first playoff tally in the opening-round series against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

He was one of five Flames to pot 20 goals last season.
