ANAHEIM MIGHTY DUCKS @ CALGARY FLAMES

GAME TIME: 7 P.M. TV: SPORTSNET RADIO: THE FAN 960

COMING IN:

The Flames (44-24-10) are coming off an overtime loss to Vancouver, which clinched for Calgary a playoff spot but left the team feeling a little down in the dressing room post-game.

The Flames are 5-0-2 since returning from their longest road trip of the season late last month.

The Ducks faced the Canucks late last night after winning four of their last five and 10 of their last 13 games to reach fifth in the Western Conference.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:

The Ducks scored three powerplay goals to claim the first matchup 4-1 in Anaheim Oct. 26. But the Flames earned a split with a 3-1 win at the Saddledome Feb. 8, scoring three man-advantage markers of their own. Their last battle will come at The Pond as they end their regular season Monday.

WHO'S HOT:

FLAMES -- F Tony Amonte has gone from one extreme to the other. Although his five-game point streak ended in Vancouver -- thanks to F Jarome Iginla's tip on a goal initially credited to D Mark Giordano, which will officially bump Amonte from the scoresheet today -- Amonte now has eight points (1G, 7A) in his last seven games.

ANAHEIM -- G J-S Giguere has won four of his last five starts. C Andy McDonald took a five-game point streak into last night's game (2-7-9). F Teemu Selanne has gone pointless in just four of 20 games since the Olympic break, racking up 12 goals and 20 assists.

WHO'S NOT:

FLAMES -- D Roman Hamrlik assisted on a pair against Phoenix last week but those are his only points in nine games.

ANAHEIM -- F Jeff Friesen, a deadline-day acquisition for the Ducks, has netted just one goal and a pair of helpers since his arrival.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

POWERPLAY -- Calgary 18.5% (85-459, 11th); Anaheim 18.3% (82-447, 12th).

PENALTY KILLING -- Calgary 83.9% (77-478, 10th); Anaheim 84% (77-481, 7th).

INJURIES:

FLAMES -- D Rhett Warrener (knee) and F Mike Leclerc (wrist) appear ready to return to the lineup. D Jordan Leopold (groin) and F Chuck Kobasew (groin) are day-to-day. F Marcus Nilson (knee) and D Cale Hulse (shoulder) are out indefinitely.

ANAHEIM -- No significant injuries.

NOTABLES:

Calgary's record on Tuesday nights this season is 1-7-1. The Flames won their first clash Nov. 1 against the Minnesota Wild but have gone 0-7-1 since ... J-S Giguere played 11 straight games before last night's contest and may get a rest against Calgary if the Ducks pulled off a playoff-clinching win in Vancouver last night ... With 41 wins heading into last night's game, the Ducks set a new franchise record ... Anaheim won the season series with their cross-town rival L.A. Kings for the first time.
