The Rangers are coming off a 4-0 victory over Florida Saturday, which ended a run of three straight overtime losses. After a red-hot start to the season, they've cooled, going 3-4-3 in their last 10 outings.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:

In their last meeting, Calgary travelled to New York in January 2004 and spanked the Rangers 5-0. In their last 10 clashes with the Broadway Blueshirts, the Flames have claimed 12 of a possible 20 points. They're 5-3 with two ties in the last 10 games at MSG.

WHO'S HOT:

FLAMES -- Stephane Yelle has a goal and an assist in two games since returning from an ankle injury. He has two goals and a helper in his last three outings.

RANGERS -- December's offensive player of the month Jaromir Jagr scored twice in the win over Florida. In his last seven games, the NHL's leading scorer has netted 14 points (4-10-14).

WHO'S NOT:

FLAMES -- Chuck Kobasew has only one goal and one assist in 15 games.

RANGERS -- C Steve Rucchin has one goal in 10 games.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

POWERPLAY -- Flames 17% (43-253, 18th); Rangers 16.7% (40-240, 20th).

PENALTY KILLING -- Flames 81.3% (19th); Rangers 85.7% (2nd).

INJURIES:

FLAMES -- D Roman Hamrlik (knee) is possible, while C Byron Ritchie (knee) and D Bryan Marchment (knee) are out.

NOTABLES:

Jarome Iginla was a guest on the Jim Rome radio show yesterday ... Darren McCarty didn't practice yesterday and is nursing a sore foot after blocking a Sami Salo slapshot Saturday in Vancouver. He'll try to play tonight, provided his swollen foot will fit in his skate ... Calgary has put together a 5-0-1 mark against Eastern Conference foes this season, the only slight blemish a shootout loss at Philadelphia.
