TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS AT CALGARY FLAMES

TONIGHT AT 7 P.M., TV: SPORTSNET, RADIO: FAN 960

COMING IN:

The Flames beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 Monday and should be fresh after three days between games. They should also get a couple of healthy bodies back in the lineup. The Maple Leafs are also a well-rested group that has battled through a rash of injuries and won six straight games. They beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 in overtime Monday.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:

This is their first and only meeting this season. The Flames beat the Leafs at the Saddledome Nov. 18, 2003 and lost 4-1 on the road Jan. 13, 2004. Calgary holds the all-time edge against Toronto at 36-32-9-0, including a 24-14-4-0 record at the 'Dome.

WHO'S HOT:

FLAMES -- F Kristian Huselius is scoring from every angle lately and seems to be in on every Flames goal in some way or another. He has four goals and three assists in his last five games.

LEAFS -- D Bryan McCabe has four goals during the Leafs' six-game winning streak, two on the powerplay.

WHO'S NOT:

FLAMES -- D Andrew Ference played a lot of minutes (20:30) Monday against Chicago but had no shots, one hit and a giveaway. He also had a team-worst minus-1 rating.

LEAFS -- F Jeff O'Neill has been gradually relegated to the third and fourth lines and has now been shut out on the scoreboard in 13 of his last 16 games.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

POWERPLAY -- Calgary 17.1% (41-240, 16th); Toronto 20.5% (53-258, 5th).

PENALTY KILLING -- Calgary 81.8% (45-247, 18th); Toronto 80.7% (49-254, 23rd).

INJURIES:

FLAMES -- F Stephane Yelle (ankle), F Tony Amonte (ribs) and D Rhett Warrener (torso muscle) are probable. F Marcus Nilson (head) is questionable. D Roman Hamrlik (knee) is close to making his return.

LEAFS -- F Eric Lindros (wrist) and F Nik Antropov (knee) are out. F Jason Allison (finger), F Darcy Tucker (ribs) and D Carlo Colaiacovo (wrist) are questionable.

NOTABLE:

With D Rhett Warrener expected to return to the lineup tonight and D Roman Hamrlik close to coming off the injured list, D Richie Regehr was assigned to the AHL Omaha Knights yesterday.
