Mired in last place in the Northeast Division, the Bruins arrived in Calgary fresh off a 3-2 win over Minnesota. That victory snapped a three-game losing streak.

On top of leading the league with his four shutouts, Flames G Miikka Kiprusoff has moved into the top-10 in goals-against average (2.14, 4th), wins (15, 4th) and save percentage (.917, 8th) ... As a team, the Flames have climbed to No. 2 in the league in goals-against at 2.22, a heady accomplishment considering the 20 goals allowed in the first four games.
