The Flames (17-9-4) capped off a successful five-game road swing with a 4-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils Wednesday. Calgary collected seven out of a possible 10 points on the trip. The Senators (21-4-0) played late last night on the road against the Flames' Northwest Division rival Vancouver Canucks.

This is their first and only meeting of the regular season. In 2003-04 they split their two-game series, each winning on home ice.

SENS -- Ottawa's top line of F Jason Spezza (11-32-43), F Daniel Alfredsson (21-20-41) and F Dany Heatley (19-22-41) are all among the top five in NHL scoring this season.

WHO'S NOT:

FLAMES -- F Shean Donovan, the Flames No. 2 goal-scorer last season, and F Chris Simon have been struggling to find their scoring touch. Donovan remains goal-less since the second game of the season.

SENS -- D Zdeno Chara was eligible to return to the ice last night after a one-game suspension for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of a contest late last week.
