NOTEWORTHY

VANCOUVER -- Expect to see G Ray Emery make the start against the Flames. Coach Bryan Murray plans to use him for one game on this trip and tonight makes the most sense since G Dominik Hasek started last night's game against the Canucks ... Emery is 9-0-0 lifetime in his NHL career ... The Senators are 9-7-4-1 lifetime against the Flames, going 5-1-1-0 since the 2001-02 campaign ... Senators LW Peter Schaefer scored his first career goal on Nov. 12, 1998 against the Flames while playing for the Canucks. J.S. Giguere was in net for the Flames ... Ottawa LW Dany Heatley played Tier II hockey for the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Calgary Canucks in 1998-99. He had 70 goals and 127 points to lead the league in scoring ... The Flames are 3-2 in their last five games ... Both losses were shutouts, 2-0 to Nashville on Nov. 29 and a 1-0 overtime loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday.
