CURTIS McELHINNEY: Calgarian didn't see any action.

MIIKKA KIPRUSOFF: Showed no signs of rust in his first pre-season start. Highlight was an amazing kick save as the first period expired.

DION PHANEUF: Put his shoulder into rushing Tuomo Ruutu early and continued to throw checks whenever given a chance.

ROMAN HAMRLIK: Pinched in and nearly scored on two-man powerplay. Shot from point set up Reinprecht's goal on the rebound.

STEVE MONTADOR: Misplayed a puck at the blueline during a powerplay but played well defensively.

JORDAN LEOPOLD: Had a quiet night as Hamrlik and Phaneuf hogged most of the powerplay time.

BYRON RITCHIE: Took advantage of an Adrian Aucoin giveaway by scoring on the 'Bulin wall.

SHEAN DONOVAN: Was quiet for most of the evening but drew penalties on Tyler Arnason and Mark Bell.

CHRIS SIMON: Snapped a shot at Khabibulin and then stumbled into the goalie before the puck went into the net just after the whistle.

MATTHEW LOMBARDI: Deked Khabibulin on a breakaway opportunity only to watch the puck trickle through the crease and out.

CHUCK KOBASEW: Showed a willingness to drive to the net and nearly scored midway through first. Hard slapshot shattered the glass.

ANDREW FERENCE: Had some bad luck, taking two tripping penalties on the same play.

ERIC NYSTROM: Worked well down low with Lombardi and moved the puck around while on the powerplay. Set up the first goal by Regehr.

JASON WIEMER: Made a nice blocked shot on a 5-on-3 Chicago powerplay and generally played a solid defensive game.

DARREN McCARTY: Took a retaliatory slashing penalty but made up for it with a painful shot block.

MARCUS NILSON: Like his linemates, he didn't have many opportunities in the offensive zone.

STEVE REINPRECHT: Created many scoring chances and drew penalties with his tenacity.

ROBYN REGEHR: Snuck a shot between Khabibulin's pads while pinching from the blueline.

BRANDON PRUST: Dropped a nice pass to Regehr for a scoring chance in second.

TOMI MAKI: Again showed he isn't afraid to throw his stocky body at the opposition.
