ST. PAUL, Minn. -- On the bright side, the Calgary Flames' offence finally showed signs of life. The bad news: So did Dwayne Roloson.

The flickering Flames fired 39 shots at the Minnesota Wild netminder, who was spectacular turning aside

38 of them and handing Calgary a bitter 2-1 loss.

"Gee, I thought we could have won 6-2 or 7-2 but Dwayne was unbelievable tonight," said Iginla, who scored the Flames sole goal early in the third period.

Calgary's post-Christmas winless streak is now at six games (0-5-1).

Interestingly, the team had planned a players-only meeting before the game but it was inexplicably

cancelled. That didn't sit well with one forward.

"If we don't start finding our winning ways again, we might as well just scrap the season," spat one frustrated Flame, who asked not to be identified.

The Wild, who've been decidedly mild this season, jumped out to a first-period lead on goals by Marion Gaborik and Filip Kuba, then rode Roloson' sheroics the rest of the way.

The Flames conclude their three-game road trip Sunday with a date in Columbus.
