BUFFALO - Buffalo Sabres forward Jason Pominville left Monday night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks on a stretcher.

With the score 2-1 in favor of Buffalo in the first period, Pominville was hit hard along the boards by Chicago defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson. Pominville hit his head against the glass before being wheeled off the ice.

Pominville suffered a concussion and cut above his eye on the play and did not return to the game, which Chicago won, 4-3.
