Sabres bring back Lalime

BUFFALO - The Buffalo Sabres agreed to terms with backup goaltender Patrick Lalime on a one-year deal on Wednesday.

Lalime, who has spelled starter Ryan Miller for each of the last two seasons, went 4-8-2 with a 2.81 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 16 games (13 starts) a year ago.

The 36-year-old native of Quebec will enter his 12th NHL season with a 200-169-16 mark with 32 ties, a 2.57 GAA and 35 shutouts with the Penguins, Senators, Blues, Blackhawks and Sabres since breaking into the league in 1996-97.
