VANCOUVER (CP) - Sabres forward Adam Mair was released from a Hamilton hospital after spending two nights under supervision for a severe concussion.
"He's out of the hospital and doing better," Sabres GM Darcy Regier told the Buffalo News. "They'll continue doing tests on him, and he'll remain in Hamilton with his family for the next week or two."
Coach Lindy Ruff suggested Mair's injury stemmed not from a solitary hit, but an accumulation of blows. Mair's head struck the ice Jan. 5 versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. He got into a fight two nights later against the New Jersey Devils. He left the Coyotes' game after scuffling with Tyson Nash.
