BOSTON - Well, it sounds like things are getting back to normal, whatever normal can be here after an extraordinary week of terror, misery, tension and, finally, relief.

There was a tear-inducing ceremony before the Boston Bruins played the Pittsburgh Penguins at TD Garden Saturday afternoon. The images of those who lost their lives in the Boston Marathon bombings and the mayhem in the days that followed were shown on the video board. Then there was an emotional rendition of The Star Spangled Banner as singer Rene Rancourt again let the crowd deliver an emotional message to all those listening.

There was an undercurrent of relief in the city after one of the suspects in the bombings was captured alive Friday night after a 20-hour manhunt. There was a huge police presence outside the rink, but there was a more relaxed air about the fans as they made their way inside.

Boston fans showed things were inching towards normalcy during the Penguins 3-2 win as they roundly booed Pittsburgh winger Jarome Iginla whenever he touched the puck. They were letting him know how they felt about him spurning a chance to join the Bruins in a trade from the Calgary Flames last month. Iginla exercised his no-movement clause to veto the deal and opted to join the Penguins.

“I can understand the fans, they wouldn’t be too happy,” said Iginla, who set off a bigger wave of boos when his shot on the power-play early in the third gave the Penguins a 2-1 lead. “Whether or not they wanted me or not, if you’re turning them down, it would be a little bit offensive, I guess, to the team, but it’s not meant that way. I kind of expected that.
