NEW YORK -- Boston Bruins forward Daniel Paille was suspended for four games Friday for an illegal check to the head of Dallas' Raymond Sawada.

The incident occurred during the second period of the Bruins' 6-3 win on Thursday.

Sawada carried the puck into the Boston zone when Paille drilled him with a blindside hit. The Stars forward left the ice under his own power but didn't return to the game with what the Dallas Morning News is reporting as a shoulder injury.

Paille, who was given a five-minute major as well as a game misconduct, is eligible to return Feb. 15 against Toronto.
