FIRST PERIOD

1. SENATORS: On the first shift, Spezza has the open side to slam home a rebound off of Heatley's shot. Senators 1, Bruins 0.

2. BRUINS: On a 2-on-1, Isbister fights off Alfredsson's check and beats Hasek with a nice backhand. Senators 1, Bruins 1.

SECOND PERIOD

3. SENATORS: Off the opening faceoff, Pothier hits Havlat, who drops the puck to Meszaros. Meszaros' shot then gets tipped by Spezza into the top corner on the glove side. Senators 2, Bruins 1.

4. SENATORS: After Fisher creates a turnover against Leetch behind the B's net, Heatley scores on a wraparound. Senators 3, Bruins 1.

THIRD PERIOD

5. SENATORS: Spezza creates a turnover in the neutral zone and Heatley and Alfredsson break in 2-on-1. Alfredsson fires high glove side. Senators 4, Bruins 1.

6. BRUINS: Thornton passes from behind the net and Boynton buries it. Senators 4, Bruins 2.

With W Martin Havlat fit to return after missing a game with a hamstring injury, LW Denis Hamel was returned to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL after the morning skate yesterday ... There was a moment of silence before last night's game to honour Bonnie Neil, the mother of Senators winger Chris Neil. Her memorial service was held yesterday ... Senators D Wade Redden missed his second game with a sprained knee ... The Senators have today off to enjoy the Grey Cup game. They'll practice tomorrow in preparation for Tuesday's meeting with the Montreal Canadiens at the Corel Centre.
