Martin St. Louis has a shot at winning the Lady Byng Trophy for the second year in a row.

The Tampa Bay Lightning right winger is one of three nominees for the award, the NHL announced Thursday.

St. Louis a six-time finalist, annually meets the credentials for the Byng, which goes to the player who exhibits the best sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high skill level.

Dallas Stars left winger Loui Eriksson and Detroit Red Wings defenceman Nicklas Lidstrom are the other finalists for the Byng. The winner will be announced June 22 at the NHL awards in Las Vegas.

St. Louis finished second in scoring with 99 points while matching a career-low 12 penalty minutes.

Red Wings captain Lidstrom, a six-time nominee who has not won the Byng, was second among defencemen in scoring with 62 points while collecting 20 penalty minutes.

Eriksson had a career-high 73 points with eight minutes in penalties, the fewest among the league's top 50 scorers.

Top Duck out

One of the Nashville Predators's top offensive threats, forward Martin Erat, will miss Game 5 of the series against the Ducks Saturday in Anaheim.

Erat was injured on a second-period hit from the Ducks' Jarkko Ruutu in Game 4 and did not return. He is listed as having an upper-body injury.

The 29-year-old Czech winger had 17 goals and 33 assists in 64 games this season, and one goal and two assists in the four playoff games against Anaheim.

The series is tied 2-2.
