Thrashers ink Stuart to extension

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Thrashers signed defenseman Mark Stuart to a multi-year contract extension on Monday.
The Thrashers acquired Stuart from Boston in a four-player deal earlier this month. The 26-year-old posted one goal and four assists in 31 games for the Bruins this season. He has yet to record a point in four games with Atlanta.
Boston took the Minnesota native with the 21st overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. In 287 career games, Stuart has registered 13 goals and 40 points with 294 penalty minutes.
