Thrashers' Mason exits Saturday's game

Dallas - Atlanta Thrashers goaltender Chris Mason left Saturday's game in Dallas in the first period with a lower-body injury caused by a teammate.
Defenseman Chris Thorburn collided with his own netminder as he slid to block a shot. Mason attempted to shake off the injury, but left the game instead.
Mason entered the contest with a 7-7-2 mark and a 3.81 goals against average in 18 contests. He stopped all three shots he faced and was replaced by Ondrej Pavelec.
