Stanley Cup hero Scott Neidermayer is rejoining his Anaheim Ducks — only this time as an assistant coach.

The Ducks made the announcement on Friday, adding he’ll be behind the bench with Bruce Boudreau at the beginning of the season, along with Bob Woods and Brad Lauer.

“As a player, Scott was one of the great leaders and winners of all time, making him a tremendous addition to our coaching staff,” Ducks general manager Bob Murray said on Anaheim’s official website. “His knowledge of the game and relationship with the players will be a great benefit for us. And he’s even a better person than a hockey player.”

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
