ANAHEIM -- The Anaheim Ducks placed goaltender Jonas Hiller on injured reserve Tuesday, retroactive to February 3, with what the team is calling fatigue and light-headedness.
Hiller sat out the Ducks last game against Colorado on Saturday and is expected to be activated in time for Friday's match at Calgary.
The 28-year-old from Switzerland has gone 25-16-3 with a 2.56 goals-against average and four shutouts this season.
To fill the roster spot, Anaheim recalled goaltender Timo Pielmeier from Syracuse of the AHL. Pielmeier has been recalled to the NHL twice in the last two weeks but has yet to appear in a game.
